Nostalgia

"Things" that bring back memories.

The digital age allows us to go back into our past and rekindle memories of our past.  The pictures, music, and videos found on the Internet were provided by John Chong, Clayton Ching, John Lee, Jade Young.

Want to have thirty years of music from 1955 to 1985 - all you have to do is connect to this link!  http://www.45rpmdb.com/Top10.html

“Click on the speaker in the middle of the Record and it plays the entire song. You now have 30 years of the Top 10 Songs for each month of the year from 1955 to 1985.  Incidentally, you can not only hear the music, but you get to see the original label, in addition to getting a photo of the artist, biography and discography.  All this with a nudge to your mouse!

And we ask, "What happened to the music business that once was?"  This may very well be part of the answer!”

Hawaii Celebration - August 14, 1945
Submitted by Jade Young.

Great video of a Spontaneous Victory Parade in Honolulu in 1945. Take a look at this video-absolutely fabulous! Notice the cars and jeeps, youth.  The guys in khaki or gray shirts and black ties are Navy officers or chiefs. The rest are Army or Marine. How young they all were to do what they did.  Great cars and you can see the beach, no hotels! The long-awaited, much-deserved joy is very apparent here!  This guy really captured a moment in history!  See Waikiki and Hawaii as it was in 1945 at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=CZ85j6U2Fvs
